Hi, I'm Monica. I'm a Somatic Coach, Reiki Practitioner, Yoga Instructor, and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor.
I specialize in guiding overwhelmed, over-productive, and stressed individuals through restorative practices that include working with the breath, yoga, energy, and somatic awareness.
My one-on-one offerings at Kelta are an opportunity to slow down and come back to the breath and the body. I invite clients into restorative experiences that allow them to pause, relax, and feel more presence, clarity, and aliveness.
Our bodies have a built in “rest and digest” mechanism called the parasympathetic nervous system and yet modern society has conditioned us to frequently bypass this with jam-packed schedules and chronically working beyond our natural capacity. And while we may sleep every night, we’re rarely getting the deep rest and relaxation that our bodies need to balance out and integrate the activity and overstimulation we’re experiencing on a daily basis. This can unfortunately lead to burn out one way or another.
I’ve seen in my own life and in the lives of my client how intentional rest can not only activate the body’s “rest and digest” response, but it can also serve a much greater purpose - waking us up to the dormant parts of ourselves and areas of our lives that need our compassionate tending to. Rest then becomes this quiet yet radical reclamation of what’s important.

Reiki: Rest + Restore
This session is focused on offering deeper rest, relaxation, and holistic restoration. Reiki is a non-invasive Japanese energy technique for stress reduction and overall deep relaxation that works to heal and harmonize all energy systems in the human biofield to include the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual energy bodies. With the use of intentional and gentle hand movements, this flow of healthy energy naturally moves through areas of the body that are in most need of healing at the time of application, restoring your body’s innate ability to bring itself into balance and greater aliveness.

Restorative Yoga with Reiki
This session is for resting intentionally, relaxing completely, and simply being. Includes gentle movement, the use of supportive props in reclined positions held for 5-10min each, breathing cues, a Yoga Nidra body scan, and the application of Reiki. This experience takes you on a journey into your body’s parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest response) and restores balance to your sympathetic nervous system (the flight, fight, or freeze response). Experience healing rest, tension release, and a return to equilibrium. Beneficial if you’ve recently been in a state of stress, overwhelm, burn out, anxiety, or irregular sleep.

Somatic Reset
A customized series of guided restorative breath practices and somatic exercises that are tailored to your current nervous system state. Begins with a brief check-in and concludes with time for integration in the form of rest and a Yoga Nidra body scan. This session meets you where you are - whether that’s anxious or overstimulated, shutdown or numb; or, dissociated / out of your body and overactive in the mind. Supports you in completing the body’s stress response cycle so that you can return to a clearer, more connected and nourished version of yourself.
